Douglas C. Oliver OBITUARY
Douglas C. Oliver, of San Carlos: born December 24, 1939, in Highland Park, MI, to Frank and Ona Mae Jeffrey Oliver. In California (early 1950s) Doug attended Redwood City schools, was a graduate of Sequoia High School (1957), San Jose State (1963-Social Sciences), and UC Davis (MA – History (1968).
He taught high school history and government at Willits High School, San Carlos High School, and Skyline Community College (1972 until retirement in 1999). He served in the California National Guard.
He was predeceased by his son Charles, his parents, sister Abigail, brother Tom. He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Elaine, brothers Michael and Duncan, and various family members. A family Celebration of Life is planned for October 19 in Martinez, where he died. Donations: American Heart Assn.
