Driver of tractor-trailer dies in fiery crash
MANSFIELD, Ohio (WJW) — The driver of a tractor-trailer died after a fiery crash late Friday night, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The Mansfield Post received a report of a crash involving a commercial vehicle on IR 71 just north of the SR 97 exit. When troopers arrived, they located a tractor-trailer on fire off the east side of the road, the release said.
The preliminary investigation shows the tractor-trailer was going northbound on IR 71 when it drove off the right side of the road, hitting a guard rail and a light pole. The tractor-trailer then continued down a steep embankment and overturned, where it caught fire.

The driver of the semi was pronounced dead at the scene. The name is being withheld until identity can be confirmed and the next of kin notified.
