Duncan mayor presents proclamation to DHS student leadership

Nov. 14—Duncan High School's student leadership team received hands-on experience as they sat in on a city council meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12, where each student was presented a certificate of appreciation from Mayor Robert Armstrong.

Armstrong announced certificates for Duncan High School Student Council members and acknowledged advisors Toni Howard and Teresa Searcy.

Duncan Mayor Robert Armstrong read a certificate of appreciation recognizing Duncan Student Council for "outstanding accomplishment and service as a valued member of a student organization dedicated to developing leadership skills, enriching the Duncan High School experience for students and serving the community."

The 2024-25 DHS Student Council officers include President Ava Miller, Vice President Raven Hunter, Secretary Delilah Ballard-Dorcely, Treasurer Bailee Howard, Points Manager Devan Johnson, Publicist Hailey Nicole Potts and Historian Ellie Peterson.
