FBI offers $5k for tips on suspect accused of shooting Memphis police chief multiple times
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for help finding the man accused of .
The Dallas Field Office of the FBI is assisting the Memphis Police Department's search for Seth Michael Altman.
Altman, 33, is wanted for attempted capital murder of a peace officer.
Chief Rex Plant and another officer were trying to arrest Altman on a burglary charge Thursday night when, according to DPS, he pulled out a gun and shot Plant twice.
Plant was flown to University Medical Center in Lubbock where he was listed in stable condition.
