WASHINGTON D.C. (WILX) - A former Lions football player has been arrested in connection with the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol in 2021. According to the Detroit News, the FBI arrested Antwione Williams, the Lions' 2016 fifth-round draft pick, as part of a criminal case accusing him of assaulting Capitol police officers. He faces seven charges in connection to the riot. Williams was cut from the Lions in 2017.
