Former Steelers QB leads convincing victory in debut with new team

J.Rodriguez29 min ago
Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph made his debut with the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins. After starting quarterback Will Levis suffered a shoulder injury that forced him out of the game, Rudolph stepped in and managed the offense to a 31-point outing . While he threw for just 85 yards and the Titans' ground game did most of the work, Rudolph took care of the football and managed the game.

  • BETTING:
  • Rudolph signed a one-year deal with the Titans this offseason, opting to leave the Steelers after leading the team to a 3-0 finish and a playoff berth in 2023. The Steelers drafted Rudolph in the 2018 NFL Draft. A third-round pick, Rudolph sat behind Ben Roethlisberger for much of his time with the Steelers but got a chance to show what he could do in 2019 when Roethlisberger suffered a season-ending elbow injury.

He clawed his way back to the Steelers' starting spot after a disappointing year in 2019, earning a second lease on life in the NFL. Now, teams that he has started for are 4-0 in his last four regular season starts and have averaged 28 points per game.

At the very least, Rudolph has proven himself to be a capable backup in the NFL, and he might get the chance to play more moving forward ahead of Levis, who has been chaotic and is now injured.
