Friday’s Weather: More clouds than sun with rain likely later today

EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Dense fog formed across East Texas early yesterday and low visibilities will be likely at times this morning as well. This AM we're waking up to mild and muggy temperatures in the 60s and low 70s. Like yesterday, highs are set to range anywhere from the low 70s for northern zones to lower 80s for Deep East Texas. Expect clouds to remain over East Texas on Friday along with a better chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially later in the day, meaning some high school football games could be impacted by heavy rains and lightning. Friday's rain will be driven by a weak cold front which will likely push through East Texas Friday night into Saturday morning. Some rain could persist into late Saturday morning/early afternoon. Our weekend cold front will likely stall just to our east, along the Texas/Louisiana state line which would lead to more scattered shower and t'storm chances into our Sunday as well. Next Monday is Veteran's Day and thankfully the forecast looks fairly dry but warm at this time. Rain chances will likely increase again by the middle of next week once yet another cold front begins to move through East Texas.
