Green Oaks falls to BTW in this year’s soul bowl

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — On Saturday, Green Oaks faced off against Booker T. Washington in a matchup known as the Soul Bowl.

The Soul Bowl, many see as the most important game of the year, has been played since 1973. There is tradition seen across the BTW campus and surrounding the Leonard Barnes Stadium. Food, music, people talking, laughing, and dancing, it is a fun time for anyone who attends regardless of who wins or loses.

On Saturday, both teams went into the matchup 1-1, but ultimately it was BTW who put another tally in the win column, defeating the Giants 26-14.
