  • School Director Tara Conner-Hallston reported that the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology is considering offering a third session, which would take place in the evening. They are currently surveying interest and assessing logistics. While this would allow more students to participate, it would also mean that those students would not be able to participate in evening extracurricular activities. The goal is to expand capacity and reduce the waiting list, as many programs are currently full.
  • Rachelle Halteman was named as the district's next Supervisor of Human Resources. Additionally, Eveslage congratulated John Ewerth, who resigned as KVMS assistant principal, on his appointment as Principal of Arcola Intermediate School. Dr. Eveslage expressed gratitude to Mr. Ewerth for his 23 years of dedicated service to the District.
  • Two new security guards were hired and trained, bringing the district's total to four.
  • The District used grant funding to replace older security cameras at various buildings, with future funds to address Hallowell's cameras.
  • Portable radios were issued to special education staff for enhanced communication.
