High wind warning issued for North Coast

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the North Coast.

The warning is in effect from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

South winds of 30 mph to 40 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, are expected.

Forecasters warn that damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines and cause power outages and travel difficulties.
