Two people killed in crash on I-49

JASPER, Mo. — A crash along Interstate 49 in Jasper County claims the life of two people.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday (11/13) in the southbound lanes of the interstate near the Jasper exit.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it involved a pick-up truck and a passenger vehicle.

A total of four people were involved in the crash. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, and the other two were transported to the hospital.

Traffic was temporarily diverted at the exit, while troopers worked the scene.

The names of those involved are not being released pending notification of next of kin.
