51-hour road closure on I-10 at Anthony to start this weekend

The Texas Department of Transportation will be closing a huge portion of Interstate 10 for 2 days as part of the I-10 Widening West Project.
A TxDOT spokesperson said all lanes on I-10 east at Anthony, Texas will close starting Saturday, November 9 at 3 a.m.
People will be detoured off at the Anthony exit onto South Desert Boulevard and can re-enter I-10 after Transmountain Road.
Construction crews will be placing new barriers and striping pavement.
The eastbound lanes on I-10 will re-open Monday, November 11 at 6 a.m.
