Here's how to help Tennessee flooding victims with donations of money and supplies.

Many Tennessee neighborhoods are without water and power, and some have lost their homes in the destructive floods.

Check these donation sites in Knoxville and beyond, and online portals.

Yassin's staffers will be serving warm meals where needed, and are asking community members to donate items, which Yassin's will distribute in devastated communities. The collection starts Monday at all Yassin's Falafel House locations:

  • Items that will be collected:

  • Food: Water, healthy beverages, ready-to-eat meals, snacks

  • Hygiene: Toiletries, sanitation kits, feminine hygiene products

  • Pet food

  • Child care: Diapers, formula, baby wipes

  • Or donate online through the Yassin's campaign: LaunchGood.com/Hurricanecommunityhelp

    All YMCA of East Tennessee locations are accepting donations of water, flashlights, batteries and portable phone chargers for flooding victims, the agency announced on Facebook.

    Donations can be dropped off at any Knoxville Y location by Oct. 2. Supplies will be delivered to the Unicoi YMCA on Oct. 3.

    Drop off bottled water starting 8 a.m. Monday at the Knox County public works building at 205 W. Baxter Ave. in Knoxville.

    ETSU in Johnson City is serving as a collection site and hosting a community blood drive in partnership with Marsh Regional Blood Center.

    The blood drive is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Culp Ballroom, third floor of ETSU's D.P. Culp Student Center.

    The collection drive will take place at the same site.

    Items requested for cleanup kits: 5-gallon round buckets with resealable lids that are filled with cleaning supplies such as clothespins, clotheslines, health-duty trash bags, N-95 masks, kitchen and work gloves, laundry detergent (32-64 oz.), household cleaner (16-40 oz.), dish soap (16-34 oz.), air fresheners (4-8 oz.), insect repellant, scrub brushes, reusable cleaning wipes and scouring pads.

    Items requested for hygiene kits: Hand towels (no kitchen or microfiber), washcloths, sturdy combs with 4-7 inches of teeth (no pocket combs or picks), nail clippers (no nail files or emery boards), soap (no Ivory or Jergens and keep in packaging), toothbrushes (keep in packaging), bandages and one-gallon reusable bags.

    SALVATION ARMY

    Salvation Army crews are working in East Tennessee disaster areas with a base in Johnson City.

    All disaster donations go directly toward providing relief to survivors, the nonprofit says. Donations can be made online at helpsalvationarmy.org or by phone at 800-SAL-ARMY.

    AMERICAN RED CROSS

    The American Red Cross is taking monetary donations to help victims of Hurricane Helene. Donate by texting HELENE to 90999, or go to redcross.org/donate/donation.html .

    Blood donations by those in unaffected areas also are needed; find information and make an appointment at redcross.org/give-blood.html
