Intersection of Pearl, Millward to be closed Sept. 23 to Oct. 7

JACKSON, Wyo. — The Town of Jackson's (TOJ) Engineering Department has announced further closures in its Millward waterline replacement project. The intersection of South Millward St. and West Pearl Ave. will be closed from Monday, Sept. 23 through Monday, Oct. 7.

Excavation work will be conducted in the area, along with the reconstruction of roads and sidewalks. There will be no through traffic possible for vehicles or pedestrians. TOJ says to expect delays and detours.

A larger closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and Thursday, Sept. 27 on Millward from West Broadway to West Simpson Aves. and on Pearl from South Clissold to South Glenwood Sts. The new waterline will be connected then. Water will be shut off in the area on those nights.

"Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians alike are advised to seek alternate routes in the vicinity of this construction activity," TOJ's announcement reads. "Please be aware of, and obey all construction notification, detour and parking restriction signage as it is there for your safety and the safety of the construction workers. The Town of Jackson thanks you very much for your understanding and patience."
