John Stamos on Minnesota State Fair crop art? 'Crap Art!'

John Stamos might not have appreciated his Riot Fest butter sculpture in 2013, but what about crop art? He likes it even less, simply calling it "Crap Art!"

It started with a simple tweet from Christy Klancher, showing off her crop art creation for this year's Minnesota State Fair, depicting the "Full House" star alongside Riot Fest's self-deprecating slogan, "Riot Fest Sucks."

Capturing the famous '90s actor down to his larger-than-life mullet done with wild rice, Klancher proudly tweeted she would bring it to the Riot Fest music festival in Chicago this weekend.

Stamos wasted no time giving his thoughts on the grain portrait, simply tweeting: "Crap Art!"

The Stamos-Riot Fest saga is a complex one we weren't even aware of till today. It dates back almost a decade when Riot Fest creative director Jeremy Scheuch decided to hire Jim Victor, the "Jay-Z of butter artists," to sculpt a John Stamos butter statue that Stamos denounced as "pretty frightening" in a since-deleted Twitter post.

In the years since, Riot Fest has hosted a charity event featuring artistic creations centering on the wonder that is Stamos, and brought Victor back in 2019 to create a new butter Stamos.

It seemed Stamos has warmed up to Scheuch, meeting him in 2018 and even singing "Barbara Ann" with him on stage.

Whether he warms up to Klancher after his tweet sparked the ire of several State Fair-proud Minnesotans remains to be seen.
