Judge overruled disqualification of ITC, game is back on
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central football team is now allowed to play tonight in a playoff game, following a ruling from a judge on the morning of Nov. 8.

The football team was previously disqualified by Section III for using, what it calls, an illegal player last Friday, who was ejected the week before.
After 45 minutes in court, Syracuse City School District's attorney came forward on behalf of Judge Bob Antonacci explaining it was decided that the team would be able to move forward in the Section III playoffs.
"Don't scream but ITC is playing tonight," the attorney said.
"Given that ITC was earnestly seeking to inform Section III of the disqualification...punishing ITC by taking a hard-won victory and ending its season was, the Court concludes, a particularly draconian way to punish it for failing to type into a particular form," the judge wrote in the order.
ITC's coach, Raquan Pride-Green told NewsChannel 9 that his squad is ready to play tonight and will be in New Hartford for the semi-final. Kick off is at 6.
