Katie Holmes steps out in a puffer jacket and rocks a monogrammed tote as she enjoys a fall stroll in NYC... after sending daughter Suri off to college

Katie Holmes embraced the autumn season in a casual chic look while taking a solo stroll in Manhattan on Monday.

The Dawson's Creek star, 45, sported a green quilted puffer jacket with a bright pink collar and a pair of wide-leg blue jeans.

She accessorized her look with a monogrammed Heritage Red tote bag from Lands' End, with her initials, KH, retailing for $35.

The star — who recently sent off her daughter Suri Cruise , 18, to Carnegie Mellon University — kept comfortable in a pair of white sneakers. As for glam, she wore a natural makeup look.

She kept warm on the chilly walk with a hot drink tumbler in her hand.

Her brunette tresses were styled straight, and she rocked her silver nose ring.

Katie is currently starring as Mrs. Webb in the revival of Our Town on Broadway, alongside Zoey Deutch, who is making her Broadway debut as her daughter Emily Webb.

Directed by Kenny Leon, the cast of 28 actors also includes Richard Thomas (Mr. Webb), Ephraim Sykes (George Gibbs) and Billy Eugene Jones (Dr. Gibbs) and Julie Halston

The show officially opens on October 10th.

Last week she had the chance to reunite with her former Dawson's Creek co-star, Nina Repeta, at the opening preview of the play on Tuesday.

The Batman Begins actress jumped to her Instagram stories to share a black and white photo as the pair posed for a memorable snap together.

Holmes notably portrayed the character of Joey Potter in the hit teen drama, while Repeta, 57, played the role of her older sister, Bessie Potter.

In the picture, Katie wrapped her left arm over Nina's shoulders as they stood next to each other backstage and flashed small smiles towards the camera.

The star added text towards the bottom of the image and penned, 'Thank you Nina for coming to see A mini dawson's creek reunion,' followed by a red heart emoji.

In the next slide on her Instagram stories, Katie uploaded a montage of photos from a fan account that showed the pair on Dawson's Creek.

The series ran for a total of six seasons on The WB network and premiered in 1998, with the last episode airing in 2003.

Along with Katie and Nina, other stars that appeared on the show included James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson, Michelle Williams, Chad Michael Murray and also the late Odi Ndefo.

Holmes' appearance in Our Town marks her return to Broadway since her 2012 role in Dead Accountants.

She also starred in The Wanderers Off-Broadway in 2023.

The mother of one has been able to dive deep into rehearsals for Our Town a month after Suri left for college.

She helped take her to Pittsburgh for the traditional dorm room move in and ahead of the start of her freshman year, all while her father, Tom Cruise, was living large in London, England, according to Page Six .

It has been reported that The Mission Impossible superstar, 62, has met his divorce agreement with Holmes and paid for his daughter's college tuition, which is said to be about $65,000 a year.

Court documents show the A-list actor agreed to cover Suri's financial expenses for 'medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs.'

An insider told Dailymail.com last month that Holmes will reunite with Suri at the end of September at Carnegie Mellon University for the school's family weekend.

Holmes is expected to travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to see her daughter at the school on September 27-28, according to that source.
