Killarney Triathlon Club to hold open night this Friday

The club is one that is open to welcoming athletes of all levels, from beginners right up to seasoned competitors. They provide a supportive environment for members to train together, improve their skills, and participate in local and regional races. Their activities include group training sessions, workshops, and social events that are designed to foster camaraderie and personal growth. Committee members and a number of speakers will be present at the meeting to share their experiences of the club and the sport with the club's Chairman Oran Kane saying that the open night is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the club or the sport to find out more. "Killarney Triathlon club is not just for those with an interest in individual triathlon, but for people who want to run, or cycle, or swim as part of a relay team. The club has many fitness opportunities such as indoor bike spinning, outdoor bike, swimming coached open water, running track interval sessions, yoga, strength and conditioning, social," he said. "Our club aims to provide a structure for people who wish to train or race and we welcome people of all abilities with open arms. Our club is about developing a training and social community here in Killarney and the greater area that promotes a fun and healthy lifestyle," he continued. The club concluded by saying that they are extremely lucky to have Killarney National Park as their training base. From here, they are able to enjoy club swims in the lake at Dundag, brick sessions include a local cycle route and finishes with a run in the park. The open night will take place at the Anam Arts & Cultual Centre – located beside the old cinema, across from Scott's Street – at 7pm.
