Kmart Australia shoppers race to buy a $40 summer 'must-have' for camping: 'Best deal I've seen'

Shoppers are loving the new $40 must-have summer item from Kmart Australia - with one traveller calling it the 'cutest girly camping gear'.

Maddy Bockett, an avid explorer from Sydney , spotted the 'perfect' boucle camping chair, which comes with a carry bag, for her outdoor adventures.

'Kmart finally brought out the cutest camping accessory,' she said in her video .

'I never thought Kmart would bring out something like this... I couldn't believe it when I saw it.

'Knowing it's probably going to sell out instantly, I use Click and Collect online.'

After making the online order, Maddy headed to her local store to collect her new purchase.

'It's super cute,' she said, as she showed viewers how easy it was to set up.

Her only concern was the boucle material, as she was unsure of how it would hold up against the weather outdoors.

'I'm instantly worried about how outdoor proof this material is. It's kind of fuzzy, soft but I love that it's super warm,' she said.

'Should boucle really take part in outdoor furniture?'

Despite her concerns, Maddy said she's looking forward to seeing how the chair performs on her next camping trips.

'So far, it's perfect, it has held up very nicely,' she said.

'But I'm definitely keen to test it out on a few trips and see how we go quality-wise.'

Her video has been viewed more than 120,000 times - with some saying they are worried about getting the white-coloured chair dirty.

However one person suggested spraying the cover with Scotchgard to repel liquids and prevents stains.

According to Kmart's website, the chair features a soft comfort seat and backrest and a wood-look frame with aluminium.

It's designed to use for outdoor activities, including camping and picnics.

The chair features quad folding, making it easy to store when not in use and it doesn't take up much space at home or in a vehicle.

It holds a maximum weight capacity of 100kg.
