Large police presence at Wisconsin elementary school after ‘suspicious person’ inside building

KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – A large police presence was seen at a southeastern Wisconsin elementary school after officers were reported to a suspicious person at the building, who authorities are actively looking for at the moment.

A Facebook post from the Kenosha Police Department (KPD) states that around 10:15 a.m. on the morning of November 7, there was a large police presence at Roosevelt Elementary School due to reports of a suspicious person at the school.

Officers say they are working with the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) to ensure that all campuses are safe. It was noted that the suspicious person is no longer on school property and authorities are currently looking for him.

"We understand that these incidents often cause fear and concern. Please know that KUSD and the KPD have worked together for many years to handle situations like this. We are actively looking to identify the individual depicted in the photo [provided]," the Kenosha PD's Facebook post reads.
