Leitrim Animal Welfare thank Sligo businesses for raising over €4,000 for the charity

Staff from O'Connor Moore Dental Practice on Wine St donated €3,500 to the charity and brought their five dogs along to the centre on the day, which were all adopted from Leitrim Animal Welfare.

Henry Lyons Department Store also organised a fundraiser and raised €550.

The charity said they were blown away by their generosity.

"We at Leitrim Animal Welfare would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to two incredible Sligo businesses, Henry Lyons Department Store and O'Connor Moore Dental Practice for their recent fundraising efforts on our behalf.

"Henry Lyons Department Store organised a fantastic fundraiser that raised an amazing €550 for our cause. Their generosity and support mean so much to us, and we are deeply grateful to have such community-minded businesses in our corner.

"We were also fortunate enough to receive an incredible donation of €3,000 from O'Connor Moore Dental Practice, along with an additional €500 from Dr. Patrick O'Connor himself. We were thrilled to meet Patrick, Rebecca, and Catherine from the practice, along with their five wonderful dogs—all adopted from us!

"They came down to visit us with five of their gorgeous dogs—Tilly, Benny, Cindy, Reilly, and Sally—all adopted from Leitrim Animal Welfare.

"The dogs had an absolute ball running around in our playpen, and it was a joy to see!

"Their support is truly heartwarming, and it's gestures like these that help us continue our work and keep our doors open for animals in need.

"It's inspiring to see local businesses in Sligo support of our mission, especially during these challenging times. Donations like these allow us to continue providing vital care to the animals who need us most.
