LIRR service disruptions this weekend for switch replacement: What to know

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – The Long Island Rail Road will experience service disruptions this weekend due to switch replacement work, according to the MTA.

There will be no train service between Jamaica and Atlantic Terminal. The construction starts at 9 p.m. on Friday and will last until 4 a.m. on Monday.

More Transit News

New York City subways will cross-honor LIRR tickets.

Another alternative is to travel to and from Penn Station and take the Nos. 2, 3, or A train lines to Brooklyn.
