Montoursville, Pa. — Work continues on emergency flood repairs on Little Pine Creek Road in Cummings Township between Little Pine Creek Dam and English Center.

From Friday, Sept. 20 to Saturday, Sept. 28, the contractor is continuing pavement repairs, paving, debris removal, guide rail replacement, and shoulder backup on Little Pine Creek Road. PennDOT anticipates Little Pine Creek Road will tentatively reopen the week of Sept. 23. The road has been closed between Carsontown Road south of the bridge and Big Buck Lodge Lane north of the bridge in Pine Township since flooding occurred in August. Drivers have been following a detour using Route 287, 973, and 44. Remaining work will be performed under single lane conditions using flagging.

Glenn O. Hawbaker is the prime contractor for this emergency flood repair project. Work includes repairing the substructure of the three-span Carsontown Bridge, full depth roadway reconstruction, slope and scour protection, debris and deposition removal, guiderail resetting, base repairs and shoulder backup.
