LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Lansing Seventh-day Adventist church gave back by hosting a free health clinic on Sunday. The church partnered with a group called Adventist Medical Evangelism Network (AMEN), to help organize the event by providing basic medical screenings, teeth cleaning, fillings and extractions and eye exams with glasses all for free. AMEN is a nonprofit of network physicians and dentists dedicated to providing free health. This was the fifth year the group put on this clinic in Lansing. "We follow the example of Jesus Christ," said Randy Griffin, whos a dentist. So he was here on Earth serving, healing people, and taking care of people. We try to follow that same example just by coming alongside and saying hey, you know what? We care about you. Here's what we can do to help because this is a skill that we have."
