HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Here are the four stories you need to know for November 15, 2024.

Carter's coming to Grand Island Early on Friday morning, Chief Construction announced that Carter's would be coming to the Conestoga Marketplace. Carters sells clothes for newborns up to teens size 14. The store will go next to Bath and Body Works.

No opening date was announced.

New management at the Heartland Events Center The Heartland Events Center will have a new Executive Director under Venuworks. Kyler Tarwater started in the role on Tuesday.

The City of Grand Island is in the process of taking over the HEC from Fonner Park. Venuworks will manage the facility, with that change going into effect Dec. 15.

The Heartland United Way is hosting the 25 Keys of Christmas car giveaway again this year to help drum up support for the organization, which serves Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick counties. Tom and Kim Dinsdale donated a 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ Luxury 2 to be given away.

Keys will be drawn every day from Nov. 15 to Dec. 5, the day the car will be given away. Be sure to tune into Local4 Midday at 11:30 a.m. each day to see the that day's drawing.

Hastings Turkey Trot The Hastings YMCA is hosting the annual Turkey Trot 5K where the winners will be fittingly be awarded a turkey or Thanksgiving side dishes.

The trot starts at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and will be open for singles registration until the run starts. It is $30 to register.
