Man Hit by Metrolink Train in Pacoima Area, Hospitalized

A man was hit by a Metrolink train Friday in the Pacoima area and was hospitalized.

Officers were sent to the 12500 block of Branford Street, near San Fernando Road, about 9:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to Metrolink, the involved train was the Antelope Valley Line 210 train, bound for Los Angeles, which stopped between the Sun Valley and Sylmar/San Fernando stations. The tracks were closed between Sylmar and Newhall while an investigation was conducted.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a man in his 50s who was hit by the train was treated at a hospital in fair condition with an unspecified injury after getting there by unknown means.

The investigation was continuing.
