Multiple vehicle break-ins at Bally’s Casino result in stolen firearms
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Authorities responded to multiple vehicle break-ins at Bally's Casino. They say a firearm was stolen from each vehicle.
Officers responded to a theft report on Friday morning around 2:15 a.m. at the parking lot of Bally's Casino and Xcess where two owners reported their firearms had been stolen out their cars.
Police say the first car, a black Ford Fusion, had the back left window completely removed from the vehicle. They say the glove compartment handle, where a 9mm handgun and a full magazine was concealed, was broken. Police say no other items were reported missing.
Police say the second car, a blue Dodge Charger, had a shattered back left window and a 9mm handgun, which was concealed under the driver's seat, was missing. Police say no other items from the vehicle were reported missing. The owner also says the handgun belonged to his girlfriend.
Both the owners say they parked their vehicles around 1:45 a.m. and discovered the break-in around 2:10 a.m..
