Muriel Crimmen OBITUARY

Muriel Crimmen, 93 years old, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024. Muriel Costa grew up in a predominantly Portuguese neighborhood in the Eastmont area of Oakland to The Costa Family from São Miguel, A‡ores, Portugal by way of Hawaii. She had three sisters Alma, Geraldine, and Millie. Muriel Costa married Vincent Crimmen and moved to Hayward to raise their kids, daughter Sherrie and son Larry, both deceased. Muriel was a long term resident of Hayward and a volunteer at the Hayward Area Senior Center for 24 years. She was honored with the Volunteer of the Year award in 2007 for helping operate the center's boutique 10 hours a week. She enjoyed crocheting and working on puzzles. She will be remembered for her kind nature and outgoing personality. Muriel is survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services are being held on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and Funeral Center located at 26320 Mission Blvd., in Hayward.
