New Centro buses will have new look in Cayuga, CNY counties

Centro is rolling out new buses with a new look in its service area, which includes Cayuga County.

In a Facebook post, Centro announced that 83 new buses "in a vibrant blue color" are being put into service in Oneida and Onondaga counties. The buses with the new paint scheme will be introduced in Cayuga and Oswego counties as aging buses are removed from service.

"The new design is easier to install and repair, which will help our maintenance team get buses back on the road faster!" the agency wrote.

It's the first change to the Centro fleet's appearance in 12 years. The new design is only on new buses. There will be a mix of buses until the old fleet is retired, according to the agency.
