WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Norma J. Holzbach, 80, passed away at home on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Norma was born on February 12, 1944 in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of Robert and Florence (Ulam) Talkington.

Norma worked at the Trumbull County Library from 1964 to 1994, when she became head librarian until she retired.

Norma never had any children of her own, but was loved dearly by the children in the area.

Norma had a deep passion for Ornithology. Norma and her mother were the first women allowed to join the Trumbull County Bird Club. She absolutely loved traveling. In her travels she was able to meet a famous American Naturalist and Ornithologist, Roger Tory Peterson. She took trips and traveled to places like Churchill, Manitoba "The Polar Bear Capital of the world", Shetland Islands in Scotland and to the British Isles. Norma enjoyed riding motorcycles, scooters, trains and planes. She spent free time researching planes and trains and also had a love for history.

Norma leaves behind a brother, David Talkington of Fowler, Ohio and several nieces and nephews whom all loved her dearly

Final arrangements were entrusted to Selby-Barbee Funeral Home .
