ST. LOUIS – Police are searching for a killer Tuesday morning after a late-night murder in north St. Louis Monday night.

The call for a shooting came in to police about 11:40 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of Cora and Evans Avenues, near the Fountain Park neighborhood. When District 5 officers arrived at the scene, police say they found an adult male shot and killed.

Authorities have not released the age of the victim, just that he was an adult. At this point, police have not revealed any details about any potential suspects in the case.

According to city police figures, this is at least the 105th murder so far this year in St. Louis City. Last year at this time, there were 107 homicides.

Police also provided an update to another shooting. Authorities say an adult male who was shot Sunday night on West Florissant in North City is in critical and unstable condition.

Not long after the shooting, police said that the man died at the hospital and that the case was being investigated as a murder.

Even though police now say the man is still alive, homicide detectives are taking the lead in this investigation as well. That gives you an idea of just how seriously that man is hurt.
