"This is the first time that the state of Pennsylvania has had a film commissioner and Gino has only been in this role for the past eleven months and hes already looking to see what the future could hold for Pennsylvania. What this means for Erie, we've had a film office established but it never really got off the ground and now that we actually have support from the state level we can look toward their guidance," said Jessica Taylor, executive director at Greater Erie Film Office & Film Society of Northwest Pennsylvania.
Taylor says they have inquiries for major productions who are interested in filming in the erie area and they are ready to support them.
