Part of Morningside Avenue to go one-lane for a week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Starting Thursday, the northbound lane on a part of Morningside Avenue will be temporarily closed.

The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announced Monday the closure of the lane between Davis Avenue and Peters Avenue. It will start the morning of Nov. 7 and is expected to be finished on the afternoon of Nov. 14.

During this time, traffic will be one lane only. Traffic signals will be in place to maintain traffic, the Engineering Division says.

The closure is so that a new sanitary sewer connection can be completed.
