AQI dips below 400 in Delhi-NCR
As per a report, At 8 a.m., the average Air Quality Index (AQI) was 361 (extremely poor), compared to 334 at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Only Ayanagar out of the 36 monitoring sites had a severe average AQI of 417 at 8 a.m. Lodhi Road (268) and Aurobindo Marg (275) have "poor" air quality. Overall, this was the 15th consecutive day with "very poor" air quality.
According to officials from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility at Delhi International Airport (Palam) was 100 metres at 6am before dropping to zero at 8:30 am.
Not just Delhi-NCR but air quality remained a concern across the Indo-Gangetic Plains on Wednesday, with three Bihar cities, two Haryana cities, and Chandigarh ranking among the country's top ten polluted cities.
