Person shot at Dayton RoadDog Thursday

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A person was shot this morning at a Dayton convenience store that also houses a gas station.

According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, officers were dispatched to the Dayton RoadDog convenience store, gas station combo on N. James H. McGee minutes after 2 a.m.

One person was shot according to local authorities. The status of their condition is unknown at the time of writing.

Forensic services are at the scene and our 2 NEWS crew also saw a detective arrive as well.

A judge recused himself Tuesday from presiding over Arizona's fake electors case after an email surfaced in which he told fellow judges to speak out against attacks on Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign for the presidency. In the Aug. 29 email, Maricopa County Judge Bruce Cohen lamented that he didn't speak out when Harris was called a "DEI hire," believes that white men must speak out against unfair treatment of women, and raised a historical lesson from the Holocaust about the need to speak up when people are attacked. Cohen didn't specify who made the comment regarding Harris.

Parents of the University of Idaho victims are speaking out on the two-year mark of the gruesome quadruple homicide as they await the trial for their children's suspected killer. For victim Kaylee Goncalves' parents, one of the devastating milestones this year is Kaylee's younger sister, Autumn, turning 21 - the age Kaylee was when she was killed. "Early on, [Autumn] just said, 'What am I going to do when I'm older than Kaylee?'" Kristi Goncalves recalled.
