Police search for suspect after 2 men shot in central Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two men are hospitalized, and a suspect is on the run after a shooting late Wednesday afternoon in central Phoenix. The shooting happened around 5:45 p.m. in the area of 26th and Oak streets , north of McDowell Road. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Phoenix police say one of the men has life-threatening injuries, while the other was not as seriously wounded. Officers haven't located a suspect but detectives are still actively investigating. Video from the scene shows at least 10 Phoenix PD patrol SUVs on site and several areas closed off with crime scene tape.
