Rain finally goes away ahead of a wonderful Triad weekend
It's shaping up to be a superb weekend across the Piedmont! We're starting with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-60s.
As the day progresses, skies are going to become partly cloudy, and that extra sunshine is going to carry temperatures to 80°.
There is a skinny, 20% chance of a brief shower this afternoon.
Skies remain partly cloudy overnight with lows in the mid-60s.
The weekend forecast is looking mostly sunny with much warmer temperatures.
Highs on Saturday will remain in the lower-80s, but we'll pop into the mid-80s on Sunday afternoon.
Clouds are going to return Monday, lowering our highs to the upper-70's, but there is only a 20% chance of showers.
As a cold front makes its way toward the Piedmont, rain chances will rise from 50% to 60% Tuesday through Thursday.
Highs are expected to stay steadily in the 79° to 80° range.
