Report of building collapse at former Strathmore Paper Mill in Russell

RUSSELL, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are being called to the former Strathmore Paper Mill in Russell for a possible building collapse.

According to a Facebook post by the Russell – Montgomery Police Department at around 3:15 p.m., officers are en route to a report of a building collapse at Strathmore Mill #1, with possible injuries.

Residents are being asked to avoid the area for safety purposes. Woronoco Road is closed to through traffic until further notice.
