Sentenced: Hickory drug dealer set up robbery in her own apartment: DOJ

HICKORY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A drug dealer accused of setting up a robbery in her own apartment where a victim was shot received a lengthy prison sentence this week, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of North Carolina announced. Court records stated that in December of 2021, Vono was identified by law enforcement as a local meth dealer who traveled to Charlotte out of Catawba County for transactions and supply sources. During one of those trips, officers stopped Vono, 160 grams of meth were seized, and she was arrested. While she was out and on electric monitoring, she set up a robbery in her own apartment with co-conspirators where one victim was shot, according to records.
