Some wonderful fall weather continues into this week

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Coming off of a fantastic Sunday, the weather will continue to be nice into early this work week.

There will be plenty of sunshine today, which will help warm things up after the chilly start. Winds will increase a bit out of the south southeast, getting to around 10 to 20 mph with some gusts to 25 mph. Look for highs into the mid to upper 60s with a few up around 70°. Low temperatures tonight won’t be quite as cold with winds remaining a bit breezy out of the south at 10 to 15 mph. Lows will be in the 30s out west, but the low to mid 40s for most of Central and Eastern Nebraska/Kansas. We’ll see just a few more clouds on Tuesday, but still mostly sunny skies. Highs will be mild again, but it’ll be a windier day. Highs will be back into the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s. Winds will be out of the south southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. A surface trough will push through from the northwest Tuesday night. This will shift winds back out of the northwest and the winds will turn lighter behind the trough. Skies will remain clear. Look for lows from the upper 20s west to the lower 40s east. Wednesday could turn out to be our nicest day of the week. Skies will be mainly sunny, winds won’t be nearly as strong. Highs will mostly be between the mid 60s and the mid 70s.

A cold front will pass through during the day Thursday, which could bring a few extra clouds and some breezier winds. Highs will still be decent from the upper 50s northwest to the upper 60s southeast. Friday will be a bit cooler, but there should be plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 50s to the mid 60s. Saturday looks pretty good with more sunshine and highs in the low to mid 60s. Sometime between Saturday night and Sunday night, some rain could make its return to the area. This could also cool things down a bit on Sunday with more in the way of 50s expected.

There’s still a lot of uncertainty leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, so I’m fairly uncomfortable giving a good forecast this far out. But stay tuned in the days ahead as this will be an important part of the forecast to focus on in the days ahead.
