Southeast Michigan under a dense fog advisory until Saturday morning

On Friday at 11:27 p.m. EDT a dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Saturday at 10 a.m. EDT for St. Joseph, Branch, Hillsdale and Berrien counties.

"Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog," says the weather service. "As skies clear, dense fog is developing quickly. Several observing stations are reporting visibility of one-quarter mile or less. At stations not reporting fog at this time, deteriorating conditions are expected."

"Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility," comments the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
