Tabitha at Prairie Commons cultivates culture through nursing leadership
Tabitha at Prairie Commons, nonprofit Tabitha's senior living community in Grand Island, announced the two experts who will drive its clinical leadership team: Nancy Stephens, director of nursing; and Audrey Perez, assistant director of nursing.
As director of nursing, Stephens will oversee all clinical operations at Prairie Commons. She will ensure that assisted living, memory care, and short- and long-term skilled nursing residents receive Tabitha's renowned, exceptional-quality care.
A Nebraska native and Registered Nurse, Stephens received her nursing education at College of St. Mary in Omaha. She has cultivated a wide portfolio of clinical skills throughout her 31 years of patient care.
"I'm extremely excited to join the Prairie Commons team, and to offer my experience and guidance," Stephens said. "I will ensure we are aligned with strategy on a leadership level while also working to understand and implement perspectives from our clinical staff delivering frontline care. I look forward to living into Tabitha's purpose and finding new ways to empower people to live joyfully, age gratefully."
Perez joins the Tabitha team with more than 35 years of combined experience in geriatric health as a licensed practical nurse and licensed nursing home administrator. As assistant director of nursing, she will work closely alongside Stephens and other Prairie Commons clinical team members to provide care that meets and exceeds residents' needs.
"For me, the opportunity to further Prairie Commons' clinical culture is a particularly thrilling one," Perez said. "Throughout the years I've gladly devoted to the quality care of older adults, I have developed and overseen strategies to make a difference in the lives of seniors and team members alike. I am committed to Prairie Commons' all-encompassing growth."
