Taylor Swift 's brother Austin came to the rescue after a fan got into a spot of bother with security staff at one of his sister's shows.

The female fan had dressed up as Taylor's beau Travis Kelce for the concert in Indianapolis this weekend—complete with a helmet. When the Swiftie tried to get the tight end's attention security guards stepped in, but Austin saved the day.

A clip posted on social media shows the fan, who was clad in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform, standing in what looked like a VIP area off to the side of the main crowd as Taylor, 34, performed on stage. As the fan wandered toward the crowd someone was heard yelling: "Travis!" But a member of the security team then reached out and grabbed the fan's arm and started to moved them backwards, saying: "Let's go."

Apparently referring to the helmet he was heard saying "this is not allowed" and that the fan "needs to go out." The fan removed the helmet and someone else was heard saying: "Let's just calm down a little bit because her family is here alright? That was a little aggressive. Let's just calm down a little bit."

Taylor's little brother Austin then turned up and told the guard: "Hey, let's not put hands on people."

"I'm sorry about that, it's a really cool costume," said the 32-year-old.

They chatted a bit more and Austin introduced himself and asked the fan's name.

"We are all good here. We are good here right?" he said. "You guys enjoy the concert," he added. "Have a great night."

Before heading off he handed the girl some guitar picks and said he was "sorry about that." Gesturing at her outfit, he told her: "This is amazing by the way."

Newsweek has contacted representatives for Taylor and Austin Swift for comment.

Fans were charmed by the way Austin intervened, posting messages on X, formerly Twitter , saying he was "cool" and commending him for his good manners.

One gushed: "Austin Swift to the rescue! Kindness runs in the family—way to make a fan's night unforgettable!" Someone else wrote: "Very cool reaction from Austin! Happy for the fan!"

"This is so sweet actually," said another fan. Someone else said Austin's act was "a great example of kindness and support." Another posted: "Seems like a sweetheart."

"Pretty cool to see his reaction and how nicely he handled everything," a different post said. "We gotta be a little bit more self-aware of how we're coming across when approaching a high security area, though."
