Teen arrested for attempted murder in Natchitoches shooting

NATCHITOCHES, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — Police in Natchitoches have arrested a suspect in connection to a late September shooting.

Jeremi Jaquarian Guy Jr., 19, has been taken into custody and charged with attempted second-degree murder.

According to Natchitoches Police Sergeant John Greely, on September 25, at 1:57 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting on Stella Street. Once there, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately began first aid while waiting for other first responders to arrive.

Greely says the victim was taken to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and later to a hospital in Caddo Parish for further treatment.

Greely says Guy Jr. is being held at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
