Tetra Tech Wins $39 Million USAID Contract for Gender Equality in Infrastructure – Pasadena Now

Pasadena-based engineering and consulting company Tetra Tech announced it secured a $39.3 million single-award contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to promote gender equality in infrastructure industries globally.

The award, announced on Tuesday, aims to increase women's economic empowerment in sectors such as water, power, transportation, and communications technology, according to a Tetra Tech statement.

The contract falls under USAID's Engendering Industries program, which Tetra Tech has supported since 2018. In the statement, the company said it will employ data-driven change management strategies to assist organizations in enhancing equality and improving business operations across 39 countries.

"Tetra Tech has partnered with USAID to strengthen organizations to increase gender equality and enhance economic opportunities for women around the world for more than 40 years," Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO, said.

Tetra Tech, which provides high-end consulting and engineering services in water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure, boasts a workforce of 28,000 employees. The firm provides support for projects worldwide focusing on addressing the entire water cycle, environmental protection, and sustainable infrastructure design, the statement said.
