"The destiny for Dallas isn't about whether it will be big. The question of destiny is, can we be great? "Mike Ablon Principal and Founding Partner PegasusAblon ....on PegasusAblon and Hoque Global's planned $350M redevelopment of Dallas' 72-story Bank of America Plaza, via the Dallas Business Journal.

Mike Hoque of Dallas-based Hoque Global have the iconic 72-story Bank of America Plaza tower and four surrounding city blocks under contract, and are planning a $350 million redevelopment that includes a luxury hotel, street-level enhancements, and a potential new financial district in downtown Dallas, according to an exclusive report by D CEO's Christine Perez

Ablon has long had his eye on the future, as you can see from his 2022 Voices piece in Dallas Innovates, when he looked forward to Dallas becoming America's third-largest city in 15 years. And Hoque Global's Mike Hoque has dreamed of reimagining downtown Dallas since 2001, when he drove executives through the then-too-quiet downtown as they searched for a new HQ.

Taking on the redevelopment of Dallas' tallest tower—nicknamed The Pickle for its green outline at night—could give both developers the chance to put their biggest stamp on the city yet.
