Three Padres win Silver Slugger Award

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Three Padres on Tuesday were announced as winners of the Silver Slugger Award in the National League.
Outfielders Jurickson Profar and Jackson Merrill, as well as third baseman Manny Machado won the hitting hardware, which is given to the top offensive player at each position in each league, according to Major League Baseball.
In the 2024 season, Profar batted .280, hitting 24 homeruns and 85 RBIs; Merrill batted .290, hitting 24 homeruns and 90 RBIs; and Machado batted .275, hitting 29 homeruns and 105 RBIs.
This is the first time Profar and Merrill have won Silver Slugger Awards, while Machado received his second of his career.
