If they are going to stop their four-game skid against the 3-3 Broncos, they will likely need to do so without starting QB Derek Carr and top wideout Chris Olave. Backup quarterback Spencer Rattler is in line to start for the second straight week.
Offsetting the potential loss of Olave is the uncertain status Pat Surtain II, the Broncos' top cornerback. Both players are in the league's concussion protocol and may not be cleared in time to play on short rest for Thursday Night Football.
