Todd Paul Shelton, age 62, of Pine Island, passed away on Sunday October 13, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota after a courageous battle with liver cancer during which he never complained. He was born on August 12, 1962 in Rochester, Minnesota to Orrin and Phyllis (Reinhart) Shelton. Todd grew up in Pine Island and graduated from Pine Island High School in 1980 where he enjoyed standing under the Friday night lights, theater lights, and behind home plate.

In October 1989, Todd met his wife of 30 years, who he adored, Mary (Frame) Shelton. They were married on June 25, 1994. Todd and Mary then became parents to their 2 daughters Mattie Phyllis (29) and Molly Leola (26) and built a beautiful life as a family of 4 as well as with their many pets that he 'didn't want'. Todd quickly found his calling as a girl dad. He never missed a basketball or hockey game, and was always his girl's biggest fan. Todd was also proud to be regarded as Uncle Todd to his nieces and nephews and his many friends who became like family. Family was truly his most cherished possession.

Todd enjoyed many occupations throughout his lifetime, and was always known to be a hard worker. However, his favorite job in the world was making people laugh. Todd was the life of any party and always made sure everyone around him was having a good time too. Todd also enjoyed the outdoors, specifically hunting with his brother and nephews, watching the Vikings, and spending time laughing, singing, dancing, or talking with his family.

Todd is survived by his wife Mary (Pine Island), and daughters Mattie (Pine Island) and Molly (Rochester); his siblings Linda Caine of St. Charles, IL, Mike (Cyd Einck) Shelton of Edina, Margaret "Peggy" (Dave Skramstad) Hanson of St. Peter, and Paige (Brad Fertitta) Lyons of Farmington. As well as several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents Orrin and Phyllis, an infant brother, and brother in law Jim Caine.

A private service will be held at Mahn Funeral home in Pine Island. The family will be hosting a celebration of life at the Shelton Family Farm (54471 250th Ave West Concord, MN) on Saturday November 2, 2024 from 2:00-5:00 pm with memorial speeches beginning at 3:00.

Be good and you'll be happy, Todd, you will be missed by many!
