Troopers respond to crash, vehicle fire on I-80 in Mahoning County

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a multi-vehicle crash and a vehicle that caught fire on I-80 in Austintown Thursday morning.

Troopers and firefighters responded to I-80 east of OH-46 around 6:30 a.m.

OSHP said that a commercial vehicle hit a pickup truck and drove away. Troopers said that that this caused a crash between the same pickup truck and an SUV.

Troopers said that the person in the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

OSHP said that one of the vehicles in the crash caught fire. Troopers did not specify which one.

Troopers and crews are still on the scene.
